Thank you so much for the kind words. That was much needed today. I truly appreciate it. I’m doing my best every day to stay true to who I am and never let anyone or anything change it. Some days that’s very hard. And some days it’s a little easier. You made it a little easier today.
It would be impossible for me to talk about this tour and ignore the concept of Love, however you qualify it. Love of others, of music, of a band, of a God. Or maybe I mean passion, the more one-sided kin that we mistake as the all-consuming romantic spark too often.
I met up with my friend Carly yesterday. She and I met when she had recently started doing merch for Dads. I had become friends with John and Scott before moving to Philadelphia through those odd corners of the internet where you can meet and catch a glimpse of a person without ever knowing them. A lot of folks consider that odd, but it’s no more odd to me than passing a person in the hallways of your office and never saying more than hello, yet still inviting them to your wedding out of propriety.
